What does Creative mean?

“Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions.” - Linda Naiman

In more simple terms, a “creative” is an individual who creates. This could be writing, drawing, baking, painting, coding, gardening, sculpting, music-making, quilting, dancing, and much more.

What is The Creative Community?

The Creative Community is a group of individuals who set their imagination and solution-making into ways for sharing God’s heart with New Hope, the city of Portland, and the world. 

Who can be on The Creative Community?

The Creative Community is open to anyone who aspires to or identifies as a creative at New Hope.

What will The Creative Community do?

To start The Creative Community, we will get together online and at a future point in person. This will be a time for spiritual formation in the creative endeavors of the Community, as well as a chance to identify how God is speaking and to use their creativity to point others towards Jesus.
